This year, Seinabo Sey released her EP Sweet Life, a five-track down-to-earth record where Sey found a new sonic world. Taking inspiration from old-school R&B and afrobeats, the project is rooted in the live drums that act as the foundation for this new era of her music.

Sey’s video for her song I’m Just Mad (B***)* is a relationship drama for the ages. Inspired by Sam Levinson’s Netflix film Malcolm & Marie, Sey channels the heartbreak of a relationship that has turned sour. Vogue Scandinavia spoke to Seinabo about the fashion, working with Gustaf Skarsgård, and the story behind the song.
