There's no need for further endorsement: The balaclava is clearly best-in-show according to sartorial savants and celebrities alike
Lily Collins has yet again been spotted in Scandinavia. Posting to her Instagram, the Emily in Paris lead and Vogue Scandinavia cover star was pictured soaking up the sun in a snowy Stockholm, yet again evoking her Scandinavian side. Sporting an oat-hued bouclé wrap coat – cinched at the waist and featuring a statement collar – she truly meshed in with the locals, the tone-in-tone accessories epitomising the current trend towards Nordic neutrals.
And while the creamy Cartier Panthère bag had us craving an accessory update in our winter wardrobes, the knitted Gunia Project balaclava stole the show. Tied pertly under the actress' chin, the fuzzy head wrap wrapped us around the proverbial fashion finger.

It comes on the heels of a balaclava-filled Fashion Week. The cobbled streets of Copenhagen were practically crawling with knitted headwear, and in particular the unequivocally trendy balaclava. Taken off the slopes and into an urban setting, this winter accessory was a saviour for street stylers in the freezing, wind-swept city.
Every variation was welcomed, from snug to loose fitting, and often - like Lily Collins' version – tied beneath the chin, with colours ranged from punchy pinks and fiery reds, to 50 shades of beige. However, it was the styling which really cemented the must-have status of this knitted necessity. Sported with traditional tailoring, reimagined with matchy-matchy sets, and paired with various puffers, its transformative nature of the balaclava made it the best-in-show.
