Elsa Hosk, Lykke Li and Daniela Rathana were amongst the starry guest list of H&M's 'Supper Club' that had Stockholm glowing red
“If bright green is 'brat', what is H&M red?” asked Vogue Scandinavia’s Allyson Shiffman inside the 'Supper Club’ event on Saturday night in Stockholm. “Iconic,” responded Hanna Larsson, the official host holding court at the historic Birger Jarlspassagen, rendered red in honour of the powerhouse brand's reignition.
It's a fitting question, as H&M's celebrations had began in London the week prior, fronted by the queen of 'brat' herself: Charli XCX. From that viral launchpad, the party carried on to H&M's Scandinavian home, as part of a series of events paying tribute to style, sound, community, self-expression, and individuality.
What is H&M's reignition all about, though? This season, H&M is returning to its democratic roots. "We’re going back to our core,” says Eliana Masgalo, head of design at H&M. “We have such a strong heritage, and we’ve been on the market for many years. We’re not rebranding, but re-igniting, re-energising, and re-boosting what we’ve always stood for: fashion.”
Saturday's big bash was a key part of H&M's vision to reconnect with its key communities. “That’s why we’re hosting all these events and pop-ups now," Masgalo explained to Vogue Scandinavia ahead of the evening. "We’re inviting our community to experience these changes with us. If we look back, things are always evolving, and we have to grow alongside our customers.”
Masgalo was in attendance on Saturday, rubbing shoulders with supermodel Elsa Hosk, Mondo Duplantis' girlfriend Desiré Inglander, pop sensation Daniela Rathana, and the evening's headlining home-grown act Lykke Li.
