Keen to catch up on the hottest street style trends at Copenhagen Fashion Week? From baring your underwear to adding some team spirit to your wardrobe, these are five new additions to our styling arsenal
The skirt-and-trouser combination
Sometimes more actually is more, and it's definitely the case for those skirts we've seen layered over trousers on the cobbled streets of Copenhagen. Not only is it an excellent way to style those sheer skirts we picked up last season, the layered combination is also a closet-hack for making that mountain of mini skirts work in sub-zero temperatures.
Who's your team?
If you were to ask our favourite street stylers, sports tops are no longer regaled for court-side appearances. Yes, you could wear your rugby shirts and basketball tees with the more obvious options of loose-fit denim and track shorts, but our favourite way to add some flair to our team colours is through unexpected tailoring and flirty pleats.
Don double denim
The Canadian tuxedo has been around the block, not once, not twice, but a plethora of times. But we say why fix fashion that isn't broken? We're most definitely doubling up on denim for the season ahead, and we're keeping our eye on ensembles that have that little extra – such as Marimekko's floral-printed Maridenim.
Bare your bra
For those among us who have left home after a stressful morning forgetting to fasten a button or two in our shirts, we've got good news: this season leaving things the undone it the best way to dress up. Whether a demure bralette or a sultry lace version, we're opting for vests, button-ups and blazers to bare our bras this season.
Your best bet? Bermuda
Capri fever struck Copenhagen this season, but we look beyond the knee-skimming silhouette from the 1990s for its sportier sister: bermuda shorts. Wide-cut and utterly comfortable, these cropped bottoms are welcome in our wardrobes in every texture – from leather to denim and so much more.
