The Ukrainian brand's spring/summer '25 collection returns to the roots of its core ethos, paying homage to Mother Earth
Although Ukrainian brand TG Botanical took a break from the official Copenhagen Fashion Week schedule this season, the label organised an intimate presentation of its spring/summer ‘25 collection in the lush garden of Design Museum Denmark. The setting was fitting, as the SS25 line-up, true to TG Botanical’s core values of honouring nature and championing sustainability, draws inspiration from the Earth and our ever-evolving surroundings.
A serene energy permeates the collection, reflecting the tranquillity found in our natural environments. Organic shapes and soft lines blend with more sculptural forms, while dainty tops and knits add a delicate contrast. Elsewhere, textured and gathered garments – some crafted in collaboration with Atelier Dasha Tsapenko – evoke the richness of soil, symbolising nature’s renewal, blooming flowers, and sprouting plants, which greatly influence the SS25 offering. Just as fertile soil nurtures life, the landscape of our mind can cultivate creativity and growth.
In keeping with her vision, creative director and founder Tetyana Chumak embraced a grounded palette of moss and forest greens, rustic browns, and crisp whites. Meanwhile, techniques like natural dyeing, fungal inoculation, and cabbage juice infusion breathed life into the raw, eco-friendly materials used in the SS25 line-up, all while minimising any harm to our planet. After all, what is a collection that pays tribute to the Earth without a poignant reminder that we ought to preserve it?
