As the stars left the Metropolitan Museum of Art to hit up the dancefloor, Vogue Scandinavia gathered the most memorable looks
After the Met Gala’s A-list attendees had graced this year’s most hotly-anticipated red carpet and relished their evening of a star-studded dinner, surprise performances and, of course, marvelling at the Costume Institute’s latest exhibition Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty it was time to continue the revelling at the various Met Gala afterparties scattered across New York City.
Having already delivered us one round of style treats – which paid homage to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld – the fashion set swapped their red carpet looks for more dance floor-ready attire. And this year, the stars leaned into bold after-party looks, serving us shrewd lessons in sheer dressing, second-skin garments and lots (and lots) of sparkle. From Emily Ratajkowski’s transparent corset to Kendall Jenner’s see-through sequin bodysuit – designer Nensi Dojaka’s tribute to an iconic Lagerfeld look from Chanel’s spring/summer 1994 collection – there were major moments every which way you looked.
