After the month-long fashion week frenzy, in which editors, buyers and influencers pilgrimage between New York, London, Milan and Paris to see the latest (and greatest) that the industry has to offer, we're left sifting through the stand-out shows for those golden nuggets of inspiration. And when it comes to beauty for spring/summer '25, one thing is clear: bold is better

Bottega Veneta's disco lash
Falsies have been on the forefront in fashion forever now. From Stine Goya's 'frosted' flutter at the autumn/winter '23 'Freeze' show to Marc Jacobs' otherworldly cartoon makeup for spring/summer '24, putting your best lash forward remains all the rage — and the trend shows no signs of fading. Makeup legend Pat McGrath further cemented this backstage at Bottega Veneta, where her shimmering silver falsies left models with disco-ready looks straight out of Studio 54.

Dolce & Gabbana's 'Material Girl'
At Dolce & Gabbana, the spring/summer '25 season paid homage to the one and only Madonna featuring 58 models made up in her indelible image: bleach blonde cropped curls, silky cone bras, cinematically Italian eyeliner and all.

Harris Reed's pastel dolls
At London Fashion Week, makeup artist Sofia Tilbury transformed the models into precious porcelain dolls with a blurred-out base powdered to perfection and carefully pinched lashes. The pop of colour that washed the lid from lash to brow depended on the look, but our favourite was this wide-eyed blue version.

Simone Rocha's crystal claws
While we often gravitate toward more wearable runway looks (or those easily toned down), every now and then, we're captivated by the utterly impractical. Case in point: Simone Rocha's crystal tassels. Crafted by Ama Quashie, these gem-encrusted tips may not be high on our list of looks to recreate, but they've certainly got us thinking about adding a Swarovski stone or two to our next manicure.

Chanel's bold bride
Every Paris Fashion Week, we hold our breath for Chanel's hotly anticipated bride — and this season did not disappoint. Adorned in pearl-trimmed white feathers with a contrasting bow at her neck, the model matched the demure mod-vibes of the look with a bold black liner in a very Brigit Bardot way.
