For the final leg of fashion month, Phil Oh turns his lens to the best style on the Parisian streets
It is the final week of the autumn/winter '24 shows, which will doubtless come as a relief to those who have spent the past month – two months if you also take into account the January menswear shows – lingering outside show venues in New York, London, Milan and Paris in an attempt to cameo within a street style round-up just like this one: throwing pensive, over-the-shoulder glances towards photographers and making urgent phone calls. Moments like these have become all-too-easy to poke fun at – see: the various articles published by establishment editors circa 2013 – despite being an essential part of the spectacle that now collects around the shows.
As the jewel in fashion month’s crown – featuring Dior, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Balenciaga, Miu Miu and just about every other conglomerate brand on its schedule – the street-style images that emerge from Paris also happen to be some of the most studied. This season, you will see lots of skirts being worn over trousers, lots of haunted doll dresses worn with woollen tights, and enough “pops of red” to rival a Vesuvian implosion.
Below, see all of the best street style from the autumn/winter 2024 collections at Paris Fashion Week.
