With the addition of a warm white colourway, Georg Jensen’s Fusion collection allows for more customisation than ever before. We join Count Nikolai of Monpezat on set of the campaign to discover why this collection has become a beloved favourite
There are few things more personal than jewellery. Just ask Count Nikolai of Monpezat, the face of Georg Jensen’s Fusion campaign. “I try to switch around the jewellery I wear,” says Nikolai, noting that he doesn’t have one particular aesthetic, but rather changes things up to fit his mood (currently, however, he’s partial to a suit).
To that end, the Danish heritage brand’s Fusion collection, with its singular mix-and-match graphic design, allows for maximum personalisation. With the addition of bold hues – emerald green, rich blue, burgundy – the wearer can show their true colours like never before. The latest colour to join the collection: the winter-ready “warm white”.

Based on an original design created by Nina Koppel in the 1990s and introduced in 2000, Georg Jensen’s Fusion collection encourages the wearer to create their very own signature pieces, combining different components to create something specifically suited to them. Rendered in 18kt gold, the puzzle-like pieces lock and unlock with a simple twist. Inspired by Koppel’s work as a textile artist (she studied textiles at Denmark’s School of Arts and Crafts before designing for Georg Jensen, just like her father, famed silversmith Henning Koppel), the colourful iterations are meticulously crafted by Georg Jensen’s artisans using Hyceram, a ceramic and polymer lacquer hybrid. The durable material ensures that the colour remains unblemished and vibrant.
Like many Danes, Nikolai grew up amongst Georg Jensen’s signature silverware – the vases, especially. It wasn’t until later that he was introduced to the jewellery, which nestles neatly into his effortless aesthetic. Take, for instance, the relaxed brown suit he wears in the campaign, paired with the distinctive Fusion ring. On the set of the shoot, which took place in an expansive studio in Nikolai’s native Copenhagen and co-stars supermodels Alek Wek and Yilan Hua (who wear the newly-introduced warm white colourway), he was encouraged to be authentically him. A notion mirrored by the collection, come to think of it. “Today it’s a bit more loose, a bit more casual,” he says. “So I’m being myself.”
