For Toteme’s autumn/winter '25, Salle de Tirage – the historic, sunlight-drenched Parisian venue – was transformed into a minimalist and pristine environment, enveloped in a crisp white setting of clarity and purity. This luminous space, which seemed almost ethereal in its stillness, was soon filled with warmth, texture, and character through the collection’s carefully curated palette. Shades of ivory and beige, intertwined with timeless black and punctuated by vivid accents of red and cerulean, brought depth and vibrancy, breaking not only the neutrality that has become a hallmark of the brand but also the quietness of the atmosphere.
The collection was a masterclass in contrasts, celebrating the interplay of textures and volumes through layering techniques. Abundant shearling jackets with voluminous round necklines alternated with ultralight nylon capes, ingeniously designed to be worn either over or under, creating cocoon-like silhouettes that balanced structure with fluidity. Lightweight, fine-knitwear merged seamlessly with fluid tailoring, including oversized capes and loose-fitting trousers that offered both comfort and elegance. Dresses crafted from thin leather or adorned with micro-sequins introduced a discreet yet captivating sensuality, while a sumptuous caramel shearling coat already emerged as a standout piece destined to become a must-have for the upcoming winter. Highlights included fur scarves casually draped over sleeveless coats, flashes of jacquard and guipure lace, playful fringe details peeking from trousers and the edges of tops. These elements added a subtle boho-chic vibe, without compromising the collection’s minimalist core.
As for accessories, chunky gold necklaces broke the balance of monochromatic looks, providing an element of contrast and energy. Bags remained oversized, metropolitan in capacity, and luxurious in finish, crafted from nappa leather or suede to underline both functionality and sophistication. Sensual shoes with leather-effect finishes – either flat-soled or low-heeled – were the recurring element of the collection, serving as a thoughtful styling counterbalance to the more oversized silhouettes and creating a harmonious interplay between elegance and modernity.
The creative duo – formed by partners in both life and design, Elin Kling and Karl Lindman – chose Paris as their stage for the second time, after conquering New York Fashion Week’s calendar for many seasons. The couple’s children were watching their parents with admiration from the front row, joined in by celebrities like Natalia Vodianova and Caroline de Maigret, who epitomise the brand’s effortless allure and understated glamour.
Since its founding in 2014 in Stockholm, the brand has continued its mission of exploring feminine silhouettes, reinterpreting and translating their archetypes into ever-new shapes and materials and redefining what modern femininity means. The Toteme woman embodies a sophisticated yet timeless elegance, infused with a fresh, urban perspective, meeting every challenge with an inherently chic attitude.
