Alisha Boe may no longer be fluent in Norwegian, but she is still a national treasure none the less. Here the actress speaks about her Scandinavian roots and the one food she loves the most...
Born in Oslo, Norway in 1997 to a Somali father and a Norwegian mother, Alisha Ilhaan Bø – known professionally as Alisha Boe – moved to Los Angeles at the tender age of seven. Best know for her role as Jessica Davis in the Netflix original drama series 13 Reasons Why, Boe has seen a meteoric rise in Hollywood since landing the breakthrough role.
Even so, Norway is still the origin of some of her favourite memories and things. Here, the actress declares her love for Norwegian waffles, reminisces about her outdoorsy childhood in the Norwegian nature, and speaks on American preconceptions of Norwegians.
