Vogue Scandinavia gets an exclusive look at Skall Studio's sculptural show accessories
Handmade in Denmark, the showpieces presented by the Skall Studio this morning instantly caught Vogue Scandinavia’s attention. Exclusively made for the show, the jewellery, bags, and brooches were more reminiscent of objets d'art than accessories. Speaking to the Skall sisters, we got a better insight into what prompted the idea to expand their repertoire and create the pieces.
Inspired by the brand name and logo, Skall – which means shell in Danish – the bags were 3D printed in organic shapes from below the sea. The handles in clear glass twisted and turned as they stretched over the conch-like sculptural shapes slung across bent elbows or firmly held in hand. The illusion of wearable seashells was completed by draping the printed bodies of the bags in natural robe.
