With a new issue comes a whole new playlist to soundtrack your life. Here, tune into the curated playlist of Vogue Scandinavia's June-July Issue
After a lengthy, snowy wintertime and practically non-existent springtime, the lilacs in Stockholm are in full bloom, and the days are long and bright. Summer is finally here. With this long-awaited change of the season comes a Midsummer-inspired issue from Vogue Scandinavia, starring Scandinavian Hollywood sweetheart Rebecca Ferguson.
In honour of the season and the starlet, this soundtrack contains the must-have Scandi summer classics. These songs are the sonic equivalent of white summer dresses, flower crowns, pickled herrings, and snaps. The playlist covers the founding father of Scandi songwriting, Ted Gärdestad, Midsummer lullaby Psalms, the now-certified classic Stockholmsvy, Mabel's latest single Look At My Body, and, of course, no playlist is complete without a Lil Wayne cameo.

Even so, Midsummer is still a time that is entrenched in the bittersweet. As much as it is about celebrating flora, fauna and the endless sun of the brightest day of the year, it also marks the beginning of the gradual descent into darkness again. It is a time that is as beautiful as it is fleeting.
Therefore, it is only right to revel in that unique Summertime-ecstasy-melancholia that flavours this time in the Scandinavian region. After all, it only happens once a year.
