The 12th edition of CHART Art Fair is upon us. The beloved fair is returning to the iconic Copenhagen amusement park Tivoli Gardens, for the second installation of a three-year partnership. This is what we, at Vogue Scandinavia, think you should look out for
Collecting for beginners
This year, CHART continues its all-inclusive conversation around art collecting. To kickstart a new generation of collectors, CHART is putting on talks such as CHART x UBS - Collecting works: Art philanthropy between passion and purpose or panels like Advice to an Aspiring Collector. The aspiration of inspiring new collectors also continues into the Start Collecting with CHART exhibition. This display showcases 25 works by some of the most well-known Nordic artists and some newer faces. No work of art is priced over 2,700 euros: the aim is to make starting a collection more attainable.

Familiar faces
CHART 2024 will see the return of participating artists Celilia Fiona and Anna Bjerger, as well as publisher Plethora. Take the time to also look at the galleries returning to the fair such as Andersen’s, BERG Contemporary, Dorothée Nilsson Gallery and many more. One to note is CHART veteran Martin Asbæk Gallery, which will present three significant Danish artists: Trine Søndergaard, Peter Bondeand Ebbe Stub Wittrup, as well as participate in CHART in Tivoli, presenting new works by Maria Rubinke.

Books and books and books
For the third year in a row, CHART will be the platform for a Book and Print Fair and this weekend it will play host to numerous book launches. Make a beeline for this part of the programme to get your hands on coveted titles such as Mothering Economy by Jenny Grettve, En bog om kunst, alkymi, proces og natur by Cecilia Westerberg and LET’S BECOME SOMETHING ELSE - Visual Letters by Julie Sass. Stick around, though, because after purchasing your brilliant new read you may get the chance have the copy signed, or even enjoy a reading by the author.

Behind the scenes
CHART has partnered with Louisiana Channel to screen several interviews with artists exhibiting this year. See them deliver a monologue, share their philosophies or look into the inspiration behind the displayed pieces. These run back-to-back over Saturday and Sunday, so make sure to plan ahead so you don’t miss your favourite.

For this weekend, CHART has once again partnered with Milan-based art publication Mousse. Head over to CHART KIOSK to get your copy of issue 88, featuring a curated selection of art from the fair. Collect it annually as a memento of your art-filled escapades in Copenhagen.
